As a tree-planter, rock climber and yogi, Haley has a strong interest in movement of all forms, especially as a means of strengthening postural and self-awareness. Originally from Nova Scotia, she now lives in Victoria, BC.

Brook Paulin was born and raised on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Canada. He is a lifetime student and practitioner of the healing arts who realized his passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in 2004, and has since been on this path.

Brook attained his Diploma of Acupuncture and Diploma of TCM Herbology from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM). He then earned his Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine Diploma, graduating magna cum laude, from Pacific Rim College.

Jordan grew up in Montreal, QC, with a passion for sports that led him to prep school in New England, where he played varsity hockey, football, and baseball. After graduating from Vermont academy, Jordan accepted a scholarship to play football and baseball at Juniata College in Pennsylvania.

During the first month of school, Jordan, who had a previous history of concussions, suffered a severe head injury which ended his athletic pursuits. Jordan was highly fortunate to receive world-class treatment for his head injury and fully recovered. Jordan’s recovery process and experience with quality care lit a passion in him to help others therapeutically. Jordan attended Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, where he graduated with a Massage Therapy diploma.

Racheal grew up in Shawnigan Lake and moved to Victoria shortly after high school. After taking some time off to travel she landed back in Victoria to pursue her education in Web Development at Q College and Business and Marketing at Camosun College. Laurens interests, education and experience are a mix between holistic wellness and dance. In 2011 she graduated from the 3000-hour diploma program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria BC. After starting her career in massage therapy, and opening her own dance studio, she completed a 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training and her Aerial Yoga Teacher Training. Along with her wellness and business endeavors, Lauren has been dancing, performing and teaching in a variety of dance styles for over 10 years.

From personal experience, Lauren became interested in holistic healing when she was a child. It successfully helped her with severe allergies and sleep issues. Getting relief from natural therapies led to an early beginning of a strong passion for the use of massage therapy, Chinese medicine and proper nutrition.

The techniques Lauren uses in her treatments include Swedish massage, sports massage, deep tissue, myofascial Release, trigger point release, joint mobilization, contract-relax, isolitic release, muscle energy, manual lymph drainage, muscle stripping. She is particularly enjoys doing deep tissue, sports therapy and myofascial techniques. She also offers aromatherapy and paraffin add-ons to enhance treatments.

There are so many different conditions that massage therapy can beneficial for, and Lauren likes working with all the conditions. She does take a special interest in working with people who have insomnia, cancer, HIV/AIDS, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, IBS, COPD, Parkinsons, MS, compartment syndromes, TMJ dysfunction, hyper mobility, hypomobility, headaches, frozen shoulder, contractures, whiplash, strains, sprains and pregnancy discomforts.

Lauren is owner of Amethyst Dance and Fitness, located on the other side of the block from Pure Body Health. Most of the time, that is where you can find her when she is not at the clinic. She focuses on finding new ways of dancing that can strengthen, stretch and heal her sore muscles..

Honggang(Andy) Xiao is a Registered Acupuncturist with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of BC. Andy is also a recent graduate from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria and is eagerly waiting to become a Registered Massage Therapist.

Fifteen years ago, one of Andy’s family members suffered from severe arthritis. Following the effective treatment by Acupuncture and Tuina Massage, Andy became very interested in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and attempted to engage in TCM as his career. Through eight years of study and practice, Andy found one plus one is greater than two results when he tried his best to combine TCM and Western Massage in treatment.
